This warms my heart!

Today, Kolton made a new friend.  A very special friend.  A student in Ms. Smith's class heard about Kolton's story and his need for surgeries and felt compelled to help out.  His mom said that he got a piggy bank for Christmas and has been filling it ever since.  Well, Juwlien decided that he could help Kolton out by giving him his piggy bank with all of his change.  Juwlien even wanted to hand deliver the money to Kolton.

So, after school today, Kolton met Juwlien for the very first time.  Juwlien walked into the office, standing tall and proud, with his bag full of money.  He took the change out of the bank, so Kolton could count the money before he put it back in the piggy bank.  When Juwlien gave Kolton his gift, Kole was thrilled.

Of course, I sat back and cried.  It's unbelievable to me that an 8-year-old boy would be willing to give away his piggy bank and all of his money to a little boy he has never met.  We are so thankful and proud of Juwlien.

Juwlien's family also wrote a nice card with a generous donation to support Kolton.  Words can't express the gratitude that we feel for Juwlien and his family.  This is truly a moment that has forever changed all of our lives.

  3. I just wanted to tell your family that we are thinking about you guys always, juwlien has told us that you have a very special little boy and he was so nice. He told me last night that its official Kolton and him are now friends ( lol, he made me smile) and told me that surgery is sometimes scary and wondered if kolton needed a friend during that time at the hospital. Juwlien really cares so much about kolton and his family. I as a mother would like to say how truly brave and strong you are. Keep your heads high and always smile because you have an amazing family. 4. Words cannot say what pictures do as shown with Juwlien and Kolton. Truly a friendship is developing. The parents of Juwlien should be very proud of him. I know the family of Kolton truly appreciative of all the support from so many. Hope to meet Juwlien to thank him and his family in person. Wanda, Great Aunt.

  5. I always say that our children are more equipped for life than we think they are. This is proof that this holds true. What a touching story! I am going to talk about this with my own children so they know that kindness is alive and well in our world.
